About the journal
The Tropical Journal of Medical Research (TJMR) is a semiannual open-access double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by the Medical Research Society (MRS) of the College of Health Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. The TJMR is a multidisciplinary journal that publishes original and reviews articles on all aspects of prevention, diagnosis, and management of human diseases, and on the promotion of health in high-income countries and low-and middle-income countries. We also accept articles on medical education, social medicine, and other related medical subjects (anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, nursing, medical laboratory sciences, medical radiography and rehabilitation, clinical pharmacy, medical psychology, etc).

Upon submission, manuscripts will undergo a check for their contents using a licensed plagiarism software checker.

The manuscript is then sent to an editorial board member for approval before being forwarded for peer review.

All full texts are freely available online, without subscription charges. Authors are permitted to self-archive their published manuscripts on any institutional/subject-based repository. To meet up with the open access policy, authors are required to pay an article-processing charge (APC) on acceptance of their manuscript.
